Life in Roberts Creek... stretching from Gower Point to Wilson Creek, small and peaceful, this little corner of the Coast prides itself on being a safe, family-oriented community. The Community Hall is in regular use for rockin' dances, community meetings and bingo nights. Children, dogs and bicycles take priority over vehicles, even on the main Roberts Creek Road. Glorious gardens bloom year round, and the natural vegetation and trees are carefully tended by local landowners.
Wander down the road to the heart of the Creek, for eclectic shopping - from outdoor adventure gear to handcrafted kids toys and musical instruments - or pick up some organic treats from the food market. Have a coffee and a bakery specialty at the Gumboot Cafe, or head over to the Gumboot Restaurant for sit-down meals in a funky atmosphere, a favorite for hearty and eclectic tastes. The General Store stocks most convenience items, as well as ice cream and a liquor store. There is a post office and the Roberts Creek Library completing the four corner center of 'town' - just like when you were a kid.
Check out the mandala at the foot of the road, and walk the pier, beach or creek mouth for unobstructed views of cruise ships and Vancouver Island. Kayaking is wonderful from Roberts Creek, and Ocean Beach Esplenade is great for cycling or walking. The Sunshine Coast Golf & Country Club is less than 5 minutes away. Check out the Suncoast Arts Calendar to see what's on at the Hall or in the Roberts Creek Little Legion. Hike gorgeous Cliff Gilker Park, just past the golf course.
Roberts Creek is only 15 minutes away from Gibsons and Sechelt and 45 minutes from Pender Harbour, coast-driving style: one road, one speed = relaxation!
